Dr Sterlin Navamani – MBBS,DLO,MBANSV*
Dr Sterlin Navamani has been the senior partner in a 7-doctor
practice for more than twenty years, based in a large, modern,
purpose-built health centre with excellent facilities.
Sterlin was trained to undertake the traditional vasectomy
procedure at the renowned Margaret Pyke Centre, London in
1989 under the guidance of Professor J Guillebaud, MA, FRCS
Ed,FRCOG, a leading clinician in the field of male and female
contraception. Since 1989, Sterlin has carried out vasectomies
for patients at the Health Centre.
In order to offer the latest technique, Sterlin was trained
in No Scalpel Vasectomy by Dr L L R Spooner MA,MB Bchur,
MRCP, MRCGP, in 2003. He is now a member of the British
Association of
No
Scalpel
Vasectomists.
The Health Centre has an operating theatre suite which is
tailor made for minor operations carried out under a local
anaesthetic such as vasectomy. The theatre has received accreditation
from the Greater Peterborough Primary Care Partnership to
carry out such operations.
In addition to vasectomies, Sterlin carries out other minor
surgical procedures under local anaesthetic, for example,
the removal of various skin lesions such as sebaceous cyst,
moles, basal cell carcinoma, warts, lipoma, ear lobe repair
etc.
In his spare time, Sterlin is a keen photographer.
