Dr Sterlin Navamani - MBBS; DLO; MBANSV*
Dr Sterlin Navamani was the senior partner in a seven doctor NHS Practice for more than twenty years. He has retired from General Practice and now concentrates on providing a No Scalpel Vasectomy service under No Needle Anaesthesia.
Sterlin has been performing vasectomies for the last twenty years.
In 2003 Sterlin trained to provide the No Scalpel Vasectomy procedures under Dr L L R Spooner MA; MB Bchir; MRCP; MRCGP, the then president of British Association of No Scalpel Vasectomists. He is a member of the British Association of No Scalpel Vasectomists.
He continued to advance his training in year 2005 under Dr Neil Pollock MD, a leading Vasectomy specialist in Vancouver, Canada, and learned the No Needle Anaesthesia and the No Scalpel Vasectomy with cautery and fascial interposition technique.
With a keen interest in updating his training, Sterlin visited Tampa, Florida in November 2008 to spend some time observing and working alongside Dr Douglas G Stein, an eminent urologist specialising in No Scalpel Vasectomy and the reversal of vasectomies. They exchanged views on current issues and guidelines for No Scalpel Vasectomy, and Sterlin received training in the fascial inter position with a titanium clip.
Sterlin is accredited by the Royal College of Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health to train other doctors to perform No Scalpel Vasectomy.
Sterlin is a keen photographer in his spare time.
